Welcome to NFleet test environment for LIH!
Here you can start using and access the test environment for three months. The test use is free of charge. Information required for the test account are email, company name and business VAT id in EU or an associated country.

NFleet solution
The test environment covers all NFleet services, including the GIS services. The core of NFleet is transportation planning and optimization. Needed input is the list of transportation tasks with addresses and other necessary task information and the list of available vehicles. The solution will create transportation routes, schedules and loading lists, optimized for the whole operation. In other words, easily create better plans and do it quickly. Check out the introduction video (1 min).
The test environment contains the core transportation planning tools:
- Converter - for transportation data input, pre and post processing
- Planner - the planning and optimization tool
GIS services
To support our transportation planning solution we need roadmaps and a set of geographical services. The map base is OpenStreetMap and current operational area covers most of Europe.
The GIS service is a central part of the system and its various components can be used separately through API. We have implemented the services primarily ourselves, partly relying on open-source libraries. We previously considered services offered by third parties but they proved to be limited in functionality or capacity and expensive to use. Therefore, we wanted to release these services for general use as well.
The geographical API interfaces available are
- Routes API: distance matrix and shortest path information
- Address API: geocoding and reverse geocoding
We are also considering developing our own map tiling services. We currently buy the service from Geofabrik GmbH.
Guidance
The easiest way to test the geographical API services is by using the API explorer which can be used to test the functionality and data model of the Routes API and Address API services. An API key is also available for the duration of the test use.
